SALT 2010 comes in five versions, one just right for you. All versions of SALT use the same transcript format and produce the same standard reports. The differ primarily in the reference database included for comparison and the licensing. The Research version contains additional utilities for extracting data from large sets of transcripts.

Bilingual SE SALT, designed for clinical use, is a tool for assessing the language of bilingual (Spanish/English) children, grades K-3, ages 5;0 - 9;9. It includes the SALT software with the Set B reference databases, an instructional manual, and the wordless picture book used to elicit the narrative samples. Collect short (3-5 minute) story retell narratives, one in English and one in Spanish. Type the samples into the computer using the SALT editor.
